Decided to make a loaf for breakfast and I chanced upon this Hokkaido Milky Loaf recipe from this blog which seems rather easy to make with the bread machine - fully automated. This is the result of my attempt! =)
Here's the recipe for easy reference:540 g Bread flour
60 g Cake flour
10 g Dry active yeast
30 g Milk powder
80 g Sugar
9 g Salt
1 pc Egg
250 g Fresh milk
150 g Whipping cream (heavy cream)I have halved the ingredients for a smaller loaf. Put in the ingredients in the order specified by your bread machine and select "Sweet" bread. The rest - leave it to the bread machine! 3 hours later, you get a wonderful loaf of cottony bread! *yum*
Few days later, after a failed attempt at making the cranberry buns, I decided to try something simpler, i.e. let the bread machine do its work. =) I bought some raisins and found this recipe and I went ahead to make a raisin loaf. It was easy...anyone who has used a breadmaker before will tell you this. Here's my raisin loaf - soft and yummy.
The loaf took 2 hours and 53 mins to make (time on the bread machine). By the time, it has cooled down, it was late in the night (partly because I started making it late), I couldn't wait till the next day and immediately took my camera and started taking some photos and posted them online! =) Oh...not to mention, the smell of freshly baked bread in the house...it's FABULOUS! hmmm... =)
I just bought a bread machine recently and was extremely excited to start making some bread. An overly enthusiastic me decided to make some buns instead of just putting all the ingredients in the bread machine and let it do its work of kneading, proofing and baking the bread.
I quickly searched my fridge to see whether I can find any leftover raisins (I love raisins so that's the first thing that came to my mind). Hmm..can't find any raisins but found some cranberries instead. I found this recipe and immediately embarked on my little project.
As you can see from my pictures, it obviously didn't turn out as well as you can see from the recipe I found. And well, the taste wasn't up to standard too. As a perfectionist many know me as, I threw them away.
